Steven Di Naso is a Geospatial Scientist in the Department of Geology & Geography at Eastern Illinois University, Co-Coordinator and Co-Manager of the GISci and GIS Special Projects Labs, and has served as a Director of the Geographic Information Sciences Center from 2010 to 2014. His research interests and activities involve numerous integrative, interdisciplinary, and multimodal approaches in applied spatiotemporal, and spatiostatistical modeling in the Physical Sciences; most notably in the fields of Physical and Historical Geography, Geology, Archaeometry and Archaeology, and Urban Geography (particularly GIS in local government). He has over 25 years of experience in Applied Geographic Information Science & Technology, and Field Survey Techniques, and is an Authorized ESRI Certified Training Professional (CTP) Instructor / CompTIA CTT+ (Computing Technology Industry Association) Certified Technical Trainer.
