Steven J. Jensen

Steven J. Jensen is an advisor and educator in disaster risk management. He has forty years of experience in the emergency services sector and a doctorate in public policy from the University of Southern California. Jensen is a senior lecturer in the Emergency Services Administration Program at California State University, Long Beach and the chair for disaster preparedness on the Scientific Advisory Council of the American Red Cross. Jensen’s current research and practice focus on policy, governance, and community engagement that reduce disaster risk.
