Terri Norton is the associate dean and professor of civil engineering at Bucknell University. She has research interests in natural hazard mitigation, disaster recovery and reconstruction, debris management, and STEM education. As a Fulbright research scholar in Japan, she performed research on debris management and reconstruction after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Norton serves as the co-principle investigator of the National Science Foundation's (NSF) Enabling the Next Generation of Hazards Researchers, is an Earthquake Engineering Research Institute board member, and a member of the National Academies’ Resilient America Roundtable. Norton was a co-principle on the NSF INCLUDES Minority SURGE Capacity in Disasters grant and founding leader of the Bill Anderson Fund.
