Theresa Edwards-Capen

Theresa is a Ph.D. student at the University of Colorado, Boulder, in the Department of Sociology. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina Asheville, where she studied sociology. She received her master of arts in sociology from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Theresa’s current research focuses on childhood grief and trauma. It was her own children’s experience following the unexpected death of their father that transformed her personal and professional trajectory and inspired her re-entry into the academic world.
