Tisha Holmes is an Associate Professor in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at Florida State University. Her research focuses on how local actors work to adapt and build resilience in planning and public health contexts. She studies sea level rise adaptation efforts in Florida and was also a co-principal investigator on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Building Resilience Against Climate Effects Program in Florida which supports county health departments develop and evaluate adaptation interventions to protect public health from climate related impacts. She received her MPA in environmental science and policy from Columbia University and PhD in urban planning from University of California, Los Angeles.
