H. Tristan Wu
H. Tristan Wu is an associate professor in the Department of Emergency Management and Disaster Science at the University of North Texas. He is also the co-editor of the International Journal of Mass Emergencies and Disasters. Wu's research focuses on behavioral actions at the household and individual levels before and during disasters. Much of his research investigates issues related to risk communication, risk perception, hazard adjustment, and protective action. Wu specializes in survey design, experimental design, quantitative methodologies, and geographic information system. His projects have been supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation, the Natural Hazard Center, and other agencies.
