Hao-Che (Tristan) Wu is an assistant professor in the fire and emergency management administration program at Oklahoma State University. He received his PhD in urban and regional science from Texas A&M University. Wu serves as a co-editor of the International Journal of Mass Emergency and Disasters. His research focuses on household disaster preparedness and response with a focus on risk perception, messaging, hazard adjustments, and protective action. Wu has several ongoing research projects including a project that studies earthquake preparedness in Oklahoma, an experimental study examining tornado information use, and a quick response project studying households’ night-time earthquake response.
