Wei Qiu

Wei Qiu is a professor of early childhood education and the chair of the Department of Child and Family Studies at Weber State University. She received PhD and a master's in human development and family studies from the University of Delaware and master's in English from Nanjing University in China. Qiu’s current research interests include the impact of early parent-child interactions on children’s developmental outcomes and the influence of social and cultural contexts on child development and parenting in China. Qiu is serving as a member of the Commission on the Accreditation of Early Childhood Higher Education Programs at the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and higher education representative on the Early Childhood Utah Advisory Council.
