A devastating earthquake and a series of significant aftershocks struck Nepal in late April, killing nearly 9,000 people and causing widespread damage to homes, businesses, and historical sites. In the days that followed, response and recovery efforts faced numerous challenges. This session will examine the disaster from the perspectives of the panelists—most of whom were on the ground before, during, and after the quake.
