Student Volunteer Program

Volunteers

Natural Hazards Workshop and Researchers Meeting

We're now accepting applications for student volunteers to assist with the Natural Hazards Workshop and Researchers Meeting from June 14 to 18, 2026.

The benefits of volunteering include free registration for both events, meals, and the opportunity to network with peers and respected professionals in the field. Volunteers will be responsible for paying for their own travel and accommodations.

Eligibility and Application

Volunteer duties include providing technical assistance, timekeeping, administrative help, and other support as needed. Every effort will be made to facilitate student interests in session attendance and networking; however, volunteer activities must take priority. Please read the following eligibility criteria before applying:

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student to volunteer.
  • Applicants must be available onsite at the Omni Interlocken Hotel in Broomfield Colorado for their assigned sessions.
  • Volunteers must commit to being fully available from the morning of June 14, 2026 through the end of the day on June 18, 2026.

We receive a substantial number of volunteer applicants for a limited number of positions. Thoughtful, thorough applications that demonstrate professionalism and a strong work ethic have the best opportunity for success. Please carefully review your personal schedule before applying to ensure you have no conflicts if selected.

The application deadline is January 9, 2026. Volunteer assignments will be made and communicated to applicants by February 13, 2026.
