Maggie León-Corwin is a sociologist and research scientist at the Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis at the University of Oklahoma. León-Corwin’s work spans human-environment interactions related to hazards and disasters under climate change with an environmental justice focus. This includes quantitative, geospatial, and case study research on environmental injustices in carceral spaces in Oklahoma and across the U.S., working with community partners in northwest Oklahoma City to ensure a just energy transition, and exploring adaptations to severe weather induced disruptions to electric utility service in Texas and Oklahoma.
