Increasing Resilience to Natural Disasters: An Interactive Discussion on Data Availability and Needs

In this session, presenters and the audience will participate in an interactive discussion about hazard mitigation and long-term recovery plans at the community level. Using classroom clickers, participants will weigh in on the types of data currently informing their planning, how they’re used, and what new data are needed to guide resilience-focused community decision making. The input gathered at the session will guide the efforts of the new NIST-funded Center for Community Resilience Planning.
