Researchers Meeting Information

The Natural Hazards Center, in partnership with the International Research Committee on Disasters (IRCD), and with funding from the National Science Foundation, will convene a research meeting on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 11 and through the day on Thursday, July 12.

The 2018 Researchers Meeting will focus on improving rapid reconnaissance research and will feature sessions designed to identify pressing research needs, better coordinate researchers and research teams, and improve data collection, sharing, and archiving. The meeting will include plenary and breakout sessions for paper presentations and networking events for participants.

This meeting is open to all members of the hazards and disasters community. This year’s meeting is also designed to convene researchers across disciplines who have recently received National Science Foundation RAPID grants as well as those who have ongoing hazards and disaster related research projects.
