This session focuses on lessons learned from Superstorm Sandy, the 2013 Colorado floods, and flood assessments worldwide to address questions such as how research can be used to support improved recovery decision making; how collaboration between public and private entities can improve recovery outcomes; and how disaster practitioners, authorities, and advocacy groups can promote, plan, design, and execute strategies that strengthen community resilience.
