Angela Lindsey

Angela B. Lindsey is an associate professor in the University of Florida’s Department of Family, Youth, and Community Sciences and a faculty member of the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Science (UF/IFAS) Center for Public Issues Education in Agriculture and Natural Resources. Lindsey currently serves as chair-elect for the Extension Disaster Education Network. Her research focuses on the role of Extension in disasters and disaster management efforts in communities before, during, and after disasters. Her Extension program has partnered with Florida Extension, local and state government, nonprofit organizations, and service organizations to meet gaps and needs within communities. Lindsey serves as the UF/IFAS liaison in the state Incident Command Post and has been deployed after recent Florida hurricanes, including Irma, Michael, Ian, and Idalia.
