Welcome, Recognition, and Opening Remarks

Please join us for this opening session for the 2025 Researchers Meeting, organized by the International Sociological Association Research Committee on Disasters (ISA-RC39) with the support of the Natural Hazards Center and the Natural Hazards Engineering Research Infrastructure (NHERI) CONVERGE facility at the University of Colorado Boulder. Participants will hear more about the program and organization of the sessions. In addition, ISA-RC39 leadership will share ideas for getting involved in the committee and encourage presenters to publish their work in the International Journal of Mass Emergencies and Disasters.
