Student Volunteer Program

Natural Hazards Workshop and Researchers Meeting

Mayhem

We're now accepting applications for student volunteers to assist with the Natural Hazards Workshop from July 13 to 16, 2025 and the Researchers Meeting from July 16 to 17, 2025.

The benefits of volunteering include free registration for the event you are assigned to, meals, and the opportunity to network with peers and respected professionals in the field. Volunteers will be responsible for paying for their own travel and accommodations.

Applicants must commit to being available onsite at the Omni Interlocken Hotel in Broomfield Colorado for their assigned sessions. Workshop volunteers will need to be available from the morning of July 13 through the afternoon of July 16. Researchers Meeting volunteers will need to be available from the early afternoon of July 16 through the day on July 17.

Volunteer duties include providing technical assistance, timekeeping, administrative help, and other support as needed. Every effort will be made to facilitate student interests in session attendance and networking, however, volunteer activities must take priority.

Eligibility and Application

The application deadline is January 24, 2025. Applicants must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student to volunteer.

We receive a substantial number of volunteer applicants for a limited number of positions. Thoughtful, thorough applications that demonstrate professionalism and a strong work ethic have the best opportunity for success. Volunteer assignments will be made and communicated to applicants by February 14, 2025.
