Diversity in Hazard and Disaster Research and Practice

This panel focuses on the benefits of cultural and workplace diversity in the hazard risk reduction field and on the need to mirror the diversity of the nation when mentoring a new generation of hazards and disaster researchers. Session discussion will catalyze ideas for diversifying the disaster research and practice community, using the work of the Bill Anderson Fund and other programs as an example.
