The National Academies Action Collaborative on Disaster Research was formed to help address the lack of a standardized, systematized, commonly accepted, and sustainable infrastructure to support disaster response research that better prepares our nation. Membership currently includes representatives from federal agencies, professional associations, and academia. Panelists in this session will discuss how the Action Collaborative is converging and focusing on systems, tools, and workforce requirements to connect stakeholders and generate momentum around disaster response research needs.
