As climate change continues to cause more frequent and severe disasters, creative and equitable disaster resilience strategies are needed. Building a workforce that can develop partnerships across sectors and with locally affected groups before extreme events will result in more successful and socially just response and recovery. Drawing from case studies, panelists in this session will discuss how effective collaboration, technical skills, and advanced tools can be a force multiplier to increasing equity and enhancing opportunities for disaster readiness and resilience.
