A proficient and capable disaster workforce is critical to supporting successful planning, mitigation, response, and recovery in the face of crises. In today’s uncertain landscape, however, providing targeted training, education, and professional development can be complex. This panel will share perspectives and experiences from research and practice that can be useful in measuring and sustaining the competencies needed to enable an effective disaster workforce now and in the future.
