Adrienne Dodd

Adrienne Dodd is a PhD candidate in the Department of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning at the University of California, Berkeley. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Southwestern University in environmental studies and her Master of Science from National Cheng Kung University in disaster mitigation and management.

Dodd conducts research around just disaster management, utilizing interdisciplinary mixed methods approaches. In her master's research, she worked with rural communities to create community-based wetland management and flood mitigation plans. In her doctoral research, she is investigating the risk of disaster displacement in case study communities, along with just methods for mitigation and recovery planning. Her research interests include physical processes behind hazards, as well as procedural, distributional, and recognition justice within disaster management and climate adaptation planning.
