Jean-Claude Ndongo is a PhD candidate in public administration at Florida Atlantic University. His research interests are public budgeting and financial management, public procurement, and the economic and financial aspects of disaster and emergency management.
Ndongo holds a master’s in business administration from Otterbein University and has worked in banking and insurance for several years. Inspired by his professional experience, he researches disaster-related government spending on small businesses and business resilience and continuity following natural hazards. In addition, he studies the effect of networking and relationship management on disaster preparedness and recovery for marginalized communities and minority-owned businesses.
Ndongo has contributed to the Diversifying HayWired Communication project led by the U.S. Geological Survey, the Natural Hazard Center, and the William Averette Anderson Fund. He has also participated in a data analytics project with the Department of the Treasury’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service.
