Resilient Design Education: Current Status and Future Directions
Wed. 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., Interlocken B
This session will highlight a recent project that reviewed U.S. college and university programs that teach resilient design approaches to natural hazards, disasters, and climate change. The project focused on five disciplines, including planning, landscape architecture, architecture, engineering, and building sciences. This session will feature what was learned about how programs in these disciplines teach resilient design, innovative approaches used, and the obstacles to educating students they encountered.
