Conceptual Convergence

Mon. 1:30 to 3:00 p.m., Interlocken C

Convergence can be understood through different lenses based on discipline, theory, practical approach, and personal experience. This session will invite participants to carefully consider the concept of convergence—what it is, what it isn’t, and what it might become. How can theoretical and methodological challenges be addressed to ensure convergence becomes a transformative practice and not just another buzzword? Panelists will offer specific examples of convergent activity from their own work, and they will reference more general principles regarding how convergence science might better inform research and practice.
