What would it take to quadruple U.S. mitigation spending by 2022? How can we achieve this mitigation moonshot? This session will address where we are nationally with mitigation investments and describe a vision for where we would like to go. Panelists in this session will describe the National Mitigation Investment Strategy and its implementation status. They will also highlight ongoing activities and initiatives aimed at moving the needle on this effort while creating space for future mitigation opportunities. A more resilient future will require the convergence of many stakeholders and initiatives; the National Mitigation Investment Strategy is a first step toward effectively and efficiently leveraging mitigation investments nationwide.
