Amanda Snook is the branch chief for the Research and Analysis Branch in the Resilience Evaluation and Analysis Division at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). She currently leads a team that examines effectiveness of FEMA’s preparedness grants and implements the Evidence Act, including supporting evaluation through the agency. Snook joined FEMA in 2018 as an analyst and supported the Threat and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment. Snook earned her PhD in social psychology in 2011 and spent seven years conducting research on targeted violence with the U.S. Secret Service before moving to FEMA.
