Amber Topoleski Richards has been working in Natural Hazards research and reporting for over 10 years. She has been with Southern California Edison for 10 years, with three years helping found the Watch Office and the last seven years working in hazard assessment and mitigation–working specifically on seismic, post-wildfire debris flow, and compounding climate issues. Her prior background includes geographic information systems and domestic and international hazard reporting, including time supporting a university partnership with the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency. She has a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in international studies and public policy from Claremont.
