Ella Clarke currently works at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), where she serves as an advisor to the assistant secretary for the oceans and atmosphere and deputy NOAA administrator. Her policy portfolio covers climate adaptation, resilience, and equity with a focus on getting NOAA’s climate information into the hands of communities that need it. Before NOAA, she spent time working on similar issues at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. Prior to getting her master's in public policy, Clarke spent five years working in nonprofit philanthropy at Earthjustice and Sunnyvale Community Services.
