Jenny Riker is an associate program coordinator for landslide hazards in the U.S. Geological Survey's (USGS) Natural Hazards Mission Area. In this role, she serves as a science advisor and technical expert on landslides and other geohazard issues of national scope and helps to oversee the scientific direction and priorities of the U.S. Landslide Hazards Program. Riker also supports the joint disaster risk reduction activities of the USGS and the U.S. Agency for International Development's Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, providing technical assistance to guide capacity-building and response efforts related to international earthquakes, landslides, and volcanoes. Riker holds a PhD in volcanology from the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom.
