Joshua McDuffie is a PhD student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Vanderbilt University. He is a native of the D.C. Metropolitan area and a proud HBCU graduate of North Carolina A&T State University. His research interests include community resilience, hazard risk education, and equitable infrastructure planning practices. When McDuffie is not researching, he can be found reading, exercising, and enjoying time with friends and family.
