Seyyed Amin Enderami is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering at the University of Kansas. His research interests lie in different aspects of structural engineering, focusing on community disaster resilience. Enderami received his PhD in civil engineering from the University of Kansas in 2022, got his MS in earthquake engineering from the Khajeh Nasir Toosi University of Technology in 2009, and earned his BS from the Isfahan University of Technology in 2006.
Enderami is currently working on developing interdisciplinary equity-based community resilience models that take both physical and social vulnerabilities into account. The moonshot goal of his research is to advance the state of the knowledge on developing cross-disciplinary frameworks and reliable metrics for incorporating functional recovery goals in building design codes and including equity into infrastructure planning in order to mitigate the impacts of extreme natural hazards on communities and improve their overall disaster resilience.
