Location: Interlocken B

The Natural Hazards Center, with funding from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the National Science foundation, established the Weather Ready Research Award Program to better understand how community members and other stakeholders receive, interpret, and respond to weather forecasts, watches, and warnings. In this session, speakers will discuss the ways we can better utilize and communicate weather information to prevent the worst outcomes of extreme weather events. They will also share their key findings and efforts to move research to operations in the context of wildfires, tornadoes, hurricanes, and other hazards.
