Sunday, July 13, 3:45 to 5:00 p.m. MDT
Location: Centennial E
As funding for hazards and disasters research and resilience planning is shifting, there’s a need for new strategies and financial streams to continue our important work. This roundtable will provide space to discuss creative plans to secure funding—including ways to better navigate traditional funding streams in our changing context—and possibilities for new partnerships with nonprofit and philanthropic organizations. Attendees will engage in discussion about gaps and challenges in the current funding landscape, develop strategies for building cross-sector funding relationships, and share stories about existing successful collaborations between researchers, practitioners, and nonprofit and philanthropic organizations.
