Greg Witkowski

Gregory R. Witkowski is a specialist in philanthropy, disaster relief and recovery, nonprofit management, and international humanitarian relief. He is an associate professor of public administration at Kean University and an affiliate faculty member at the National Center for Disaster Preparedness. Witkowski has enjoyed working collaboratively to build programs that advance nonprofit knowledge and improve practice. He launched the Georgetown University Press series “Philanthropy, Nonprofits, and Nongovernmental Organizations” and helped found the first school dedicated to the study of philanthropy at Indiana University.

His manuscript Second Responders of September 11th: How Nonprofits Helped New York Recover is under currently review. His previous work includes Hoosier Philanthropy: A State History of Giving and German Philanthropy in Transatlantic Perspective.
