Improving Domestic Resilience Through Science and Technology Policy

Mon. 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. MDT

The National Science and Technology Council recently formed the Subcommittee on Resilience Science and Technology (SRST), which aims to coordinate and improve the innovation and use of Federal science and technology and research and development through policy and practice. SRST is committed to understanding and facilitating partnerships across all levels of government, academia, and the private sector in order to identify needs and capabilities, develop approaches that lead to innovations, and ensure that federal research and development outcomes underpin policies and programs that strengthen U.S. resilience. Join SRST members in this session as they discuss their strategic objectives and solicit input on the best ways to support community efforts to build resilience to multiple threats and hazards.
