Disaster resilience, equitable outcomes, and environmental justice solutions are best determined by those who live in and know their communities—but resources beyond the community level are often needed to implement this frontline knowledge. This listening session will bring representatives from three community-based organizations to talk about their bottom-up, culturally aware approaches to climate and disaster. Audience members will learn how and why these programs were developed and will be encouraged to share ideas for resources, collaborations, and other ways to support such efforts.
