Kaoru Toyofuku is a senior program coordinator for the Department of International Affairs at the Japan Science and Technology Agency. She is primarily engaged in supporting US-Japan research collaboration.She focuses on supporting research that explores new perspectives in solving immediate responses to serious problems such as pandemics and aging societies and equally enhancing social and human resilience in disaster situations. Toyofuku holds a BA in philosophy from Keio University in Tokyo.
