Laura Landau

Laura Landau is a doctoral candidate at Rutgers University in the Department of Geography. Her dissertation examines civic disaster organizing and emergent mutual aid groups following COVID-19. Her research interests include environmental stewardship, social infrastructure, community organizing, and racial justice. Landau is an adjunct lecturer at the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture at the City College of New York. She is also a former trainee of the Rutgers Coastal Climate Risk and Resilience initiative. PrBeforeursuing her PhD, she worked with the USDA Forest Service - New York City Urban Field Station on their Stewardship Mapping and Assessment Project. Landau holds a master's degree in City and Regional Planning from Pratt Institute and a bachelor's degree in Urban Studies from Barnard College.
