Michael Craig is an economist for the U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the Office of Polilcy Development and Research. His research broadly focuses on climate and natural hazard risks, recovery and mitigation to HUD programs with an emphasis on the mortgage finance ecosystem. Before joining HUD in the fall of 2020, Craig was an assistant professor of economics at the University of Lynchburg where his research and teaching focuses on environmental and sustainability issues.
