Michael Kolian

Mike Kolian is physical scientist working with the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Carbon Management. Kolian is currently working on ensuring DOE’s ability to transparently track, report, and communicate the outcomes and outputs of bipartisan infrastructure law and individual retirement account investments in clean energy and technology. Prior to DOE, Kolian worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Atmospheric Protection for over 20 years, focusing on climate change science, impacts, and methods for better understanding climate-related risk and vulnerability. Kolian is a current and past author on U.S. Global Change Research Program’s National Climate Assessment and has a Master of Science in public health.
