Public health professionals play a critical role in disaster preparedness and response—from deploying frontline medical services in the aftermath of hurricanes, tornadoes, and heat waves to gleaning insights about the full human cost of these events. In this session, panelists will discuss novel initiatives to improve outcomes at the intersection of public health and disaster, including how to improve the collection, analysis, and distribution of health data to inform emergency preparedness plans.
