Wednesday, July 16, 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. MDT
Location: Centennial F

Understanding hazard risk and implementing protective measures before they happen can reduce the loss of life and property and enhance community well-being. That’s why the Natural Hazards Center developed the Mitigation Matters Research Awards Program with the support of the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the National Science Foundation. In this session, speakers will share examples of ways the program has examined and advanced hazard mitigation research and its implementation. They will also share the key findings from the final reports and research briefs.
