Caroline Cunningham, American Institute of Certified Planners, Certified Floodplain Manager, and Project Management Professional, is a hazard mitigation and adaptation expert who has supported 400+ federal, state, local, tribal, university, and private sector clients to achieve disaster resilience through plans, policies, studies, multi-hazard risk assessments, stakeholder engagement, and funding pathways. Working in pre- and post-disaster settings, Cunningham thrives when bringing ingenuity to the most challenging issues and frequently devises novel solutions to advance resilience. At Dewberry, she oversees the firm's national resilience planning practice and federal resilience efforts, and she spearheaded the creation of the Resilience Design Studio aimed at bringing multi-disciplinary experts together to co-create resilient solutions. She is a passionate advocate for hazard mitigation and currently serves as Treasurer for the National Hazard Mitigation Association, exemplifying her commitment to the field.
