Charis Boke

Charis Boke is a cultural anthropologist working at the intersection of science studies and medical and environmental anthropology. her research efforts, at their core, are concerned with connections between human and environmental health. Boke's second research project, about which she is writing a book, is about herbal medicine practitioners in North America. Boke's third research project is about inland rural riverine flooding, for which she has secured three years of funding from the National Science Foundation's Senior Cultural Anthropology Award and the Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR, Award #2446303).
