Chingwen Cheng

Chingwen Cheng is a practitioner, researcher, and educator advocating Climate Justice Co-Design. She integrates justice theory into nature-based solutions within social-ecological-technological systems through a Co-Design approach with communities in each stage of the design processes. She is the past President of the Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture, serves on the American Society of Landscape Architects’ (ASLA) Climate Action Plan Advisory Group and Climate Actions Committee, and has chaired the ASLA Environmental Justice Professional Practice Network. Her leadership bridges justice design theory and practice across local and global scales, driving equitable, sustainable, and resilient landscape architecture practices that create meaningful community impact.
