Jacquita N. Johnson

Jacquita N. Johnson's research investigates the place-based relationship between environmental exposures and health outcomes among environmental justice communities, utilizing a Black feminist lens. She is a scholar-practitioner who leverages community engagement and project management to design, lead, and conduct research and implement interventions that focus on both high-quality processes and outcomes to advance health equity.
Johnson recently defended her dissertation and will graduate in August of 2025. She holds a Master of Public Health in Health Promotion and Community Health Sciences from Texas A&M School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from Texas Southern University, a historically Black college/university.
