Jennifer Haney

Jennifer Haney is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences at Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg, where she teaches courses in environmental risks and hazards and emergency management. Haney earned her bachelor’s degree in Geography and Environmental Planning from Bloomsburg University, her Master’s degree in Geography from Binghamton University, and a PhD in geography from the University of South Carolina. Haney is also a Certified Emergency Manager through the International Association of Emergency Managers. Haney's research interests include hazard vulnerability, disaster preparedness and response in rural communities, and hazard mitigation. Her work has appeared in The International Journal of Mass Emergencies and Disasters, The Journal of Geography, and Global Environmental Change.
