TyKeara Mims

TyKeara Mims is a doctoral candidate specializing in epidemiology at Texas  Agricultural and Mechanical University. She holds a master’s degree in community health education with a minor in epidemiology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a bachelor’s degree in world history from Spelman College.

Mims's research explores the intersections of public health emergency preparedness, disaster research, and epidemiology. Her work emphasizes the experiences of underserved communities to help develop more inclusive risk reduction and emergency response strategies.
