Working Together to Build the Resilience of Vulnerable Populations
Mon. 3:30 to 5:00 p.m., Centennial E
Frequent, large-scale humanitarian emergencies now occur regularly across the globe. The financial and human costs of these emergencies have dramatically increased over time. Humanitarian response programs have found that increasing the resilience of low-income populations living in ecologically vulnerable areas can help prevent some of this suffering. This session will provide insights on programmatic successes and network building from members of a humanitarian network that have worked in this arena for nearly ten years.
