Ömer Cem Karacaoglu

Omer Cem Karacaoglu is an associate professor at Aydın Adnan Menderes University and a visiting researcher at the Disaster Research Center, University of Delaware. His research focuses on skill-based disaster literacy, survivor-centered education, and digital disaster curricula. He has led national and international projects in disaster awareness, environmental education, and the integration of artificial intelligence into teaching. In Turkey, he also coordinates software development initiatives in Technopark Izmir. Karacaoglu is the recipient of multiple grants from TUBITAK, Erasmus+, and Technopark programs. He actively organizes seminars and trainings for educators and the public, aiming to bridge scientific knowledge and community resilience through applied learning and participatory design.
